Tom Mowery
I started drumming at the age of fourteen with lessons and immediately joined the Lancaster Catholic high school marching band. I played in a couple of no name bands during and after school years. I stopped playing in my early twenties to pursue other interests.
I picked up the sticks again at the age of forty and started inviting people over to jam. A friend of mine had a band called Red Vino and the Winers. I jammed with him a few times and he invited me to play a gig at Shanks tavern with his band, alternating with his drummer. I was hooked. I later formed a band with present guitarist Brian, called Too far Gone. With the departure of our singer, that evolved into The Ballistics. I was then invited to Join up with the present line up in Mama Tried.
